Perfect for any modern warfare game setting - available in a range of scales, just ask and we'll get a price to you.

This is a very detailed multi part print. We're blown away by the designers' attention to detail on this sculpt.

All models are printed as soon as we get them to ensure quality prior to selling.

All miniatures are printed on high resolution printers with the appropriate resin. Everything will be cleaned and prepped prior to dispatch.

!!Important!! Please ensure you have checked the main shop page for current lead times. These timescales will change based on how busy we are.

We run a print to order service with multiple printers operating 24/7, if you have a specific print requirement in either FDM or resin please get in touch and quotes will be supplied. All models in this collection are available individually, please let us know if you require separate prints.

Be aware that all resin prints use supports to ensure successful printing, we will remove and clip these but some filing may be required. If a miniature is big enough that we have printed it hollow, then you will need to clean and fill where the drainage holes have been situated.

Please note that we do our best to print in grey but given the state of the world our print colour may vary depending on what we can get hold of at the time.

If you have any problems, please get in touch with us.

Badger Norinco ZBD 05 AAV in 1/72 scale

The humiliating loss on Kinman Island in 1949 (Battle of Guningtou) left the Chinese Communist Party with an indelible scar which influences Chinese political thought to this very day. The idea that there could be a parallel China, also vibrant and prosperous but democratic and western aligned, undermines the core belief of the supremacy of the one party state that exists in mainland China.

As a result of this, the Chinese Communist Party under its current leadership has devoted much thought and expense into developing a highly trained and well equipped Peoples Liberation Army (Navy) (PLA-N) Marine Corps and at the same time, ensuring regular units of the PLA are equipped and trained for amphibious operations. This is typified by the development of a sizeable amphibious naval fleet and also a series of amphibious assault vehicles based on the ZBD 05, which are capable of ocean swimming and ship to shore assaults on disputed maritime territories.

The Badger offering is to the best of my knowledge is the only 1/72 scale ZBD 05 on the market at this time and perfectly scaled to match the 1/72 ZTL 05 Amphibious Assault Gun from 4D models in the PRC.
The model paints up well as either a Marine version or its Army counterpart. The Badger version is presented with its aquaplanes in the raised position for land operations and is highly detailed around hatches, air intakes, exhausts and driving lights.

My only criticism is toward the turret which is fine, but in my opinion, the turret panniers needed to be marginally more generous and the turret lacks the HJ-73 ATGM rails usually mounted on both sides, in common with the 8X8 ZBL 08 turret.

IP law allowing, Badger would be best served by dropping the current turret and replacing it with the turret from the existing Badger ZBL 08, which offers a slightly larger pannier and anti-tank missiles either side. In fairness to Badger, the panniers on the real thing are quite small and occasionally a photo may present without the ATGMs, so it is still a fair depiction of the real thing and only a minor critique.

The ZBD 05 is a unique vehicle and a must have for collectors of the contemporary. It highlights Badgers ongoing ability to put forward contemporary armoured vehicles that cannot be found anywhere else.
